The Rolex Oyster Story exhibition marks the 100th anniversary of the Oyster watch. This free, reservation-only exhibition traces the evolution of Rolex’s iconic waterproof timepiece from its 1926 debut to its long history of innovation, including early real-world endurance tests, the introduction of the Perpetual self-winding system, and its continued presence in exploration, sport, and extreme environments. Bringing together historic and contemporary watches, archival materials, technical milestones, and immersive installations, the show presents the Oyster’s century-long development as a narrative of innovation and human exploration, and opens in Shanghai as the global first stop of the tour.
