German classical-electronic crossover group Symphoniacs brings their anniversary world tour to Shanghai for the first time. Combining classical works by composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, and Mozart with electronic beats and modern arrangements, the concert presents a fusion of orchestral sound and contemporary music.

About the Concert

Founded in Berlin in 2016 by award-winning producer Andy Leomar, Symphoniacs explores the meeting point between classical music and electronic sounds. The group combines modern arrangements, electronic effects, and immersive stage performance to create new interpretations of classical repertoire.

At the concert, works by composers including Bach, Vivaldi, and Mozart will be reimagined through electronic rhythms and synthesizer textures. The program also includes reinterpretations of popular music and electronic hits from artists including Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Rosalía, Daft Punk, David Guetta, Avicii, and Martin Garrix.

About the Artists

Andy Leomar

Electronic Artist / Mastermind

Andy Leomar is the founder of Symphoniacs and an award-winning producer, composer, and electronic music artist. A classically trained pianist with professional recording experience, he combines classical composition techniques, Baroque melodies, and modern electronic production.

He has received more than 15 gold, platinum, and double platinum record certifications and has worked across classical and electronic music fields internationally.

Paul Kropfitsch

Violin

Paul Kropfitsch is the youngest concertmaster of the Deutsche Oper Berlin Orchestra. Since the 2025/26 season, he has served as concertmaster at Deutsche Oper Berlin.

He has performed at venues including the Vienna Musikverein, Vienna Konzerthaus, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and other international stages. He performs on a violin made by Vincenzo Trusiano Panormo in Naples around 1766.

Johannes Fleischmann

Violin

Johannes Fleischmann is a violinist from Vienna and concertmaster of the Beethoven Philharmonie Baden and Webern Chamber Orchestra.

He has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, Suntory Hall, the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and the Salzburg Festival. His album Exodus – The People Who Shaped Hollywood was nominated for the 2022 International Classical Music Awards.

Konstantin Manaev

Cello

Konstantin Manaev is principal cellist of MusicAeterna and a multiple award nominee in international classical music competitions.

He has performed as a soloist with European orchestras and received nominations including the International Classical Music Awards and OPUS KLASSIK.

Arthur Hornig

Cello

Arthur Hornig is principal cellist of Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra.

Since 2011, he has served as principal cellist at Deutsche Oper Berlin, and since 2018, as principal cellist of the Bayreuth Wagner Festival Orchestra. He also performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician.

Philipp Scheucher

Piano

Philipp Scheucher is a Bösendorfer artist and prize-winning pianist. He has performed at major venues including Vienna Musikverein, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and Konzerthaus Berlin.

He has received awards at international competitions, including second prize at the Vienna International Beethoven Piano Competition, and released several recordings.
