The Starry Nights by Martha Argerich, Maxim Vengerov, Steven Isserlis and Friends presents two chamber music concerts featuring internationally recognised musicians.

The program brings together piano and string works spanning different periods of classical music, including pieces by Liszt, Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Fauré, Kreisler, Piazzolla, and Ravel.

About the Artists

Martha Argerich

Piano

Martha Argerich studied under Friedrich Gulda and won first prizes at the Busoni International Piano Competition and Geneva International Music Competition at the age of 16. At 24, she won the International Chopin Piano Competition and received the Mazurka Best Performance Award.

She is known for her distinctive artistic style and internationally recognised piano performances.

Maxim Vengerov

Violin

Maxim Vengerov is an internationally recognised violinist. He has performed with major orchestras and musicians around the world and has received Grammy recognition.

Steven Isserlis

Cello

Steven Isserlis is a cellist inducted into the Gramophone Hall of Fame and is one of the representative British cellists.
