As the SmSh Social Media Associate, you’ll help us build our following on social media channels. This is a unique opportunity to help drive real growth for Shanghai’s largest, independent English Media Channel. You’ll help us engage with our audience in a meaningful way and help us craft our Social Media strategy. Our largest accounts have tens of thousands of followers, but we want someone ambitious, and with the know-how, to help us grow to hundreds of thousands, or more. You’ll work with SmartShanghai’s well-respected editorial team, the heart of content production.

Tasks:

  • Help plan and develop our social media strategy
  • Start and manage SmSh WeChat groups
  • Publish content on our official WeChat Accounts
  • Work with design & editorial to increase engagement and following on all Channels

You’ll be working in a mixed international team with a creative work environment in bright, comfortable office in downtown Shanghai. We offer an above average salary, flexible holidays and work hours. Working language within the office is English. We use modern tools such as Slack and Trello for communication.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Chinese passport holder
  • Experience with managing English & Chinese Social Media Systems
    • Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, WeChat, Weibo, Bilibili, Douyin
  • A proven track record of growing existing accounts
  • A keen understanding of what makes content attractive to readers
  • Fluent English
