Paper Stone Scissors is hunting for a passionate fulltime senior graphic designer to join our highly skilled team and get a foot in the door at our rapidly growing agency.

The chosen candidate will be working alongside other designers in both our Shanghai and Melbourne studio to produce top-tier, award winning design projects across the fashion, lifestyle and retail categories. What we’re really after is someone with a unique flair and sense of visual style, form and function, proficient with colour and appreciation of clarity in design.

• Design of projects and production of visuals from initial briefing, continual amendments to layout/design prior to finished art, check that finished art file is as per final design, ensure all deadlines are met
• Client liaison, attending some client briefings and presentations where input may be expected, ongoing communication with client regarding amendments to design issues
• Brainstorming ideas with Creative Director
• Ability to art direct some photographic and illustration work
• Taking direction
• Creating visuals for presentation
• Presenting progress of design prior to any presentation
• Ability to stick within deadlines set even if some overtime is needed to do so
• Specifying stocks and printing specifications in consultation with Creative Director
• Briefing finished artist along with production manager
• Overseeing finished artist's work prior to it going to out
• Be involved in conducting analysis of work once complete to look at result obtained
• Progress and process of job, over runs of time etc

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 4-5 years experience in a design or advertising agency environment
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin, written and spoken
• A talent for typography and layout
• An eye for detail
• Advanced CS skills
• Solid understanding of design process
