This is an exciting opportunity to join a food-tech start-up that is currently part of Chinaccelerator, a leading accelerator program in China.

What’s NoshPos: Restaurant owners in China on average manage over 10 different software packages and manual checklists just to conduct their day-to-day operations and stay competitive. NoshPos brings an end-to-end software system, optimized for small and medium sized businesses to remain cost-effective, provide a seamless experience for customers, and save on commission from delivery services. We run their POS, ordering, purchasing, reservation systems and everything else that requires software, in just one integrated solution. It’s a smart software built by restaurant owners for restaurant chains.

We are a young company with a yet small team and are currently looking for a full-time Shanghai based Executive Assistant to the CEO and team. In this position you’ll be helping with a variety of different tasks. This might include purely administrative tasks (like help arranging and coordinate meetings), operational (translations, purchasing), research (like finding suitable hardware for various projects we are working on) and HR.

We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who’s interested in joining an early stage startup (currently 4 staff, serving around 15-20 restaurants) that has the potential of growing fast into the large restaurant space.

You will be working in a downtown Shanghai office and be in charge of:

Responsibilities:

Administrative
Generally assists the CEO and team with daily administrative duties and a broad variety of administrative tasks that include managing an active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas and compiling documents for meetings

HR Support
As a young fast-growing company, one of the major bottlenecks for growing our team is finding the right people. Since we don’t have an HR manager yet, each department hires their own staff, and for this we need help sourcing good people, filtering out qualified staff from the list of applications, arranging for job interviews and following up on the hiring process.

Operational
In short, we sometimes just need help with getting “stuff done”. This might be tasks like translating a marketing brochure from English to Chinese, or ordering supplies for a product on Taobao, or renewing a contract with a supplier. This job evolves every day as the company grows and as new tasks are coming up.

Market Research & Sales Strategy
As a young startup we are still experimenting and pivoting our product to find the best market fit. For this, we actually need help to better understand the market. Part of your job will be doing market research, comparing our product to competitors, finding potential partners – all with the task to identify further potential for growth. Specifically, you’ll have to meet many of our potential customers -restaurant owners in China.

REQUIREMENTS

As you can see from the above description, this job covers a wide range of things. Most important for us is that you are a smart problem solver who can think out of the box and gets stuff done. At the same time, we believe that entering a competitive market is only possible with a lot of attention to details.   • Ideally you have background in F&B with good understanding of how restaurant chains are using software
  • Good English communication skills
  • Local Chinese, native Chinese speaker
  • Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing, grammatical, organizational, and research skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners and donors.
