Job Description

BritCham Shanghai presents an exciting opportunity for talents who would like to start a career in international business. We are calling for an enthusiastic person to join our team as a Project and Industry Relations Executive. You will help the Chamber to coordinate committees (for example, Advanced Engineering & Manufacturing, Education, ESG, Human Resources, Legal & Compliance) and execute related activities (meetings, events and projects).

The Project and Industry Relations Executive plays a key role in coordinating/ managing the activities and services for the Chamber’s elite committee members.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relations with committee members
  • Manage and maintain committee database of new applications, key contacts, and history of their personal/ corporate involvement
  • Manage committee meetings (logistics, minutes, actions follow-up)
  • Coordinate external government meetings
  • Manage committee-related event and project logistics (pre-event, on-site, post-event)
  • Update the internal events calendar 
  • Key stakeholders coordination/ management (for example, speakers, sponsors, vendors)
  • Tracking and editing industry news, policy regulatory developments
  • Coordinate committee-related marketing materials/ content contributions for Chamber comms
  • Other administration support/ general tasks as required

Requirements

Skills and requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. Overseas study experience preferred
  • At least one or two years work experience, preferred in an international environment
  • Excellent command of English and Mandarin both in writing and speaking
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Well-organised, self-motivated and extremely detail-oriented 
  • Ability to work effectively under deadline pressures
  • Ability to work independently, as well as under supervision and as part of a team 
  • Culturally empathetic and eager to work in an international environment 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a heart for service and a sustained positive attitude 
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Flexible scheduling required – including early mornings and evenings during the week
