Job Description

ArtReview China is seeking a seasoned and highly organized Special Projects Manager with excellent communication and project management skills. This role will focus on market development and partnership projects led by the editorial direction of ArtReview China. The manager will build and maintain relationships with external partners, initiate and execute strategic content and promotional projects, and work to expand the influence of the publication within the art and culture sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and implement marketing and partnership strategies
  • Manage end-to-end processes for special projects, including business negotiations, proposal development, contract coordination, execution, and post-project analysis
  • Liaise with internal editorial and media resources across Supermedia Group to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Monitor industry trends in contemporary art and media to identify potential partnership opportunities

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in arts management, marketing, business partnerships, or media-related fields; prior experience leading art publishing or event projects is a plus
  • Deep familiarity with ArtReview and other professional art media, along with strong understanding of the international and domestic contemporary art landscape
  • Excellent bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong editorial, research, and visual sourcing skills
  • Ability to translate cultural and artistic insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Professionalism in commercial collaboration and strategic planning
  • Adaptable team player with strong collaboration and negotiation abilities
