Job Description

Stepping Stones is now recruiting enthusiastic volunteers to join its Shanghai English Teaching Program to teach English to under-served children in Shanghai. English is one of the three core subjects in the Chinese curriculum and it poses the most challenges to rural and migrant children.

Stepping Stones will provide an online orientation and a training session on August 31st and September 11th which will cover information on migrant children and their education, lesson plans, teaching tips and classroom management techniques.

Stepping Stones is a Shanghai-based volunteering organization that has been carrying out its mission to improve the education and general welfare of disadvantaged children in China since 2006. They train and support hundreds of volunteers to teach English, digital literacy, social-emotional learning, and other subjects to thousands of underprivileged students every week at dozens of project sites in Shanghai and rural China.
