The role will involve working with students aged 5-13
Teachers may also be required to take part in some performances and events
You will be working with a small established team of foreign teachers with varied arts education backgrounds.
We are willing to consider a wide range of applicants for this role including experienced English teachers with performing arts skills who wish to transfer to drama-based teaching. Guidance and help will be provided.
Additional tasks will include assisting in development of curriculum, lesson plans, scripts writing, directing children’s theater productions.
Ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals so that teaching objectives are met, momentum and challenge are maintained, and best use is made of teaching time.
Use teaching methods especially aligned with inquiry-based learning that keep students engaged, including stimulating students’ intellectual curiosity, effective questioning and response, clear presentation and good use of resources.
Native English speaker
Strong drama related professional knowledge
Dedicated and passionate about educating children
Bachelor degree or higher degree required, degree in arts/drama would be preferred
In possession of teaching-related qualifications (e.g. TEFL/ TESOL, CELTA Certificate or PGCE/ PGDE in English)
Teaching experience required
Drama teaching experience preferred
Documents required for visa application
Curriculum and lesson plans (will need to help update the version)
Visa fees and flight reimbursement
Assistance finding accommodation if required
Salary & Contract Length
Salary 20000-25000 RMB (pre-tax) per month depending on experience.
A minimum contract period of 12 months with a two-month probationary period.
Maximum 26 teaching hours per week; 5 working days per week.
