Position Overview:
Duke Kunshan University (DKU), based in Kunshan, China, seeks to appoint a Senior Specialist of Marketing and Communications to provide support to its graduate programs, including Electrical and Computer Engineering, Environmental Policy, Medical Physics, Management Studies, and Global Health. DKU is looking for a creative, data-driven marketing professional who can plan, lead, and evaluate a wide variety of integrated marketing and social media campaigns that enhance visibility, brand awareness, and student recruitment outcomes for the graduate programs.

Essential Duties:
The position requires an individual with a strong entrepreneurial spirit to initiate, execute, and track marketing strategies and tactics to support student recruitment of graduate programs:
- Design and implement marketing strategies to promote new initiatives for graduate programs. Plan, produce, and manage social media campaigns across platforms, ensuring consistent voice, storytelling quality, and engagement tracking.
- In conjunction with the graduate program recruitment team, lead the efforts to improve enrollment, including but not limited to: leading the efforts of print materials, videos, social media posts, email campaigns, and other media as appropriate.
- Represent all graduate programs to reach out to universities/schools for potential collaborations and deliver recruitment talks.
- Take the lead of graduate recruitment events such as online/offline information sessions, open house days, city/school roadshows, summer/winter camps, and their marketing, including both organic (graduate program website, university official WeChat, etc.) and paid marketing.
- Take charge of graduate marketing efforts, including but not limited to graduate website maintenance, marketing vendor communication, budget management, and contact tracking.
- Serve as the contact person with the DKU communication team; support marketing efforts originated and led by the DKU Communication Department, including producing regular news and information that can be published on the DKU website. It may also include initiating social media campaigns to boost the program’s awareness, increase traffic, and drive leads.
- Maintain the record and data of marketing/recruitment events, provide data analysis, and track digital marketing strategies and tactics, including but not limited to email campaigns, search engine marketing, and social media marketing. It may also include monitoring and analyzing website usage trends, maintaining a detailed and accurate budget for all marketing efforts.

Requirements
- The job requires communication, analytical, and organizational skills, minimally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree program. A master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of working experience in marketing, recruitment, communication, or related areas, preferably with a background in education.
- Possesses superior verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin, which are foundational in representing Duke Kunshan.
- The successful candidate will be a person with a high level of maturity and confidence.
- Besides the core skills of teamwork, the ability to handle multiple priorities in an independent manner is a must. Outstanding attention to detail is critical as well.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- The job may require some travel, and flexibility with traveling and working hours is needed.
