Job Description

As a Technical Product Manager at SideChef, you will own and prioritize the product roadmap and coordinate the implementation of high-quality products in home cooking, grocery delivery, and/or IoT space. You will know the ins and outs of how the SideChef products get built.

You are going to spend most of your time working together with the product team and engineering team, writing user stories, gathering product requirements across teams and managing deadlines to ensure successful launch and delivery.

You have a shared responsibility to implement a vision of a disruptive product through strategic projects and promotions that achieve business objectives using established design thinking processes– e.g., Test, Learn, Adapt.

You will have a thorough understanding of the food/tech industry and global food technology trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments.

You must possess a varied set of skills; spanning digital technology, product strategy and business planning, engineering, and agile/lean development practices. At the same time, an entrepreneurial mindset to develop innovative products through limited resources at the same time, managing stakeholder deadlines.

Location: Shanghai, China 

What you’ll do: 

• Define the backend strategy, roadmap, and requirements for SideChef mobile and web products
• Manage agile sprints and groom the engineering backlog, prioritizing tasks and feature requests for the highest ROI 
• Define and analyze key product and business metrics to inform decision-making and measure success 
• Contribute to the development of SideChef’s data strategy and any related B2B business models we may explore in the future 
• Ensure successful collaboration across internal teams 

Requirements

What you’ll bring: 

• BS or MS in Computer Science or other technical majors, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Technical Product / Program / Project Management experience 
• Experience building consumer-facing web or mobile products with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development, and launch 
• Familiarity with Scrum or other Agile methodologies 
• Familiarity with the following technologies: Google Analytics, GTM, Firebase 
• Excellent analytical data manipulation skills on large-scale databases; experienced in SQL, R, or Python
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data to solve business problems 
• Experience with the design, deployment, and analysis of A/B tests 
• Ability to juggle and prioritize competing demands on your time in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment 
• Excellent product sense with the ability to take complex problems and craft simple experiences for end users
• Bonus points if you have a passion for home cooking, grocery delivery, and/or IoT
