Huge, beautiful park in the hills of Songjiang in Shanghai's southwest suburbs. It's a family-friendly, dog-friendly kind of place where you can walk around for a few hours, take selfies with interesting / eccentric statues, ride boats around the lake, and lay out on the grass. There's lots of kid-friendly activities too, like fountains to run around in, and a giant bouncy blob to jump on (really fun, even for adults). You can get drinks, snacks, and beers at the convenience stores, but there's not much for food. Ticket price ranges from 80-120rmb, depending on the weather. Dogs get in for 30rmb. Recommended for a day trip that will leave you feeling like you left the city. The place is a five minute cab ride from Sheshan Station, on Line 9. There's lots more to see in this area, like amusement parks, old churches, and hills. You could get a hotel out here and stay for the weekend (there's one in the park, but it's an expensive and somewhat gaudy boutique hotel with rooms starting around 2000rmb).
