Coming at you from the folks at Shanghai Brewery, The Refinery Gastrobar is like the box-art on a "My First Craft Beer Bar" assembly kit. It's got the converted red brick factory interior, it's got the American cuisine, it's got the craft beers from Shanghai Brewery and cocktails for days. They're pretty good. Head Chef is Mark Sampson who used to be a sous chef at Mercato in Shanghai and Nobu in London. It's a nice way to ease craft beer into the preening Xintiandi surroundings, but nothing too ground-breaking. Lunch deals from 58rmb with a drink from Mon-Fri 11am-2.30pm, but you're looking at about 200-300rmb per person otherwise.
