Historic Shanghai was founded in 1998 with the goal of preserving Shanghai’s unique history by raising awareness and appreciation of its heritage architecture and social and cultural history. The group does this primarily through monthly walking tours through different historic neighborhoods and on different themes, as well as talks, conferences, and publishing books and articles.
