Trash Running China is a social plogging group started in Shanghai. For those that don't know, plogging is an idea born in Sweden where people go for a jog whilst picking up litter along the way. Not all heroes wear capes, ok? Although we're sure the organizers of Trash Running China wouldn't mind if you did. The distance ran each time is usually between 4 and 8km, which for those of you with a basic level of fitness shouldn't be too much of an issue. If it is though, you can do as much as you can then bow out, no problem. The activities are free and open to everyone, with most being held during the week after 7pm. They also organize biweekly getaways to the beach or rural trails on the outskirts of Shanghai.
