Laowai Street, aka Hongmei Entertainment Street, is a long pedestrian zone lined with bars, restaurants and diners. Once upon a time, this was the nightlife destination. Since the heady Expo days, its popularity has waned, but it's still a centerpiece of Changning district, drawing in crowds from the nearby residential zones and further afield.
