Formerly named Rockbund, this stretch of Bund property centered on Yuanmingyuan Lu between Beijing Dong Lu and Nan Suzhou Lu was renovated from 2005-2012 as part of the Waitanyuan Project, which restored and cleaned up a lot of the historic buildings here, including the former Union Church. Now it's home to cafes, restaurants, a couple of bars and the Waitanyuan Art Museum. Good for a walk and photography, but feels a little tourist-y.
