Hailed as China’s “Queen of Peking Opera” for his mastery of playing female roles, Mei Lanfang is a name to be reckoned with all over China. He moved from Beijing into this four-floor, Spanish-style garden house in 1932, where he lived with his family for nearly twenty years.Today, the house has been rented out and is now a private office. The closest you can get is a wrought-iron gate.
