This long-running and slightly secretive museum is a must-see slice of socialist life for any visitor to Shanghai. Propaganda Poster Art Center has a collection of hundreds of original posters from the Mao years as well as a gift shop selling Mao-era paraphernalia, original and copied propaganda posters, and various antique trinkets. In December 2019, they moved out of their old basement on Huashan Lu and into this old-fashioned office building just down the street.
