The ground-floor front of the main building's west wing has been turned into a swank red speakeasy called Blackstone Exchange, accessed via a side entrance in the next lane, 1333 Fuxing Zhong Lu. It hits every speakeasy buzzword: secret button for the door, dark Art Deco decor, themed VIP rooms hidden behind false walls, and a cocktail menu that starts at 98rmb. Scotch heavy bar menu, Taiwanese snacks, and heavy references to the banking industry: vault door, safety-deposit box corridor, VIP room decked out in antique abacuses, and replicas of the columns at every major stock exchange building in the world. Nice place for financiers to drink, or people to LARP at being early 20th century robber barons.
