Courtesy of the group behind Charlie's, Lucky You Cafe is a Cantonese diner with a touch of New York Chinatown. More of former than than the latter. The menu is 95% stuff like beef and broccoli, char siu, crispy pigeon, chicken feet, abalone and vermicelli noodles with XO sauce, with the "Flushing, NY Chinatown" flavor represented by just a couple plates, the highlight being the General Tsao's Chicken. Prices are a little above average for the genre, as is the hygiene standard, and the portions are decent. They've also got desserts like fried custard and tong sui. Big space, but can get pretty busy as its a popular lunch spot with the neighboorhod elderly. Good for lunch or a boisterous dinner in mid-to-large company.
