The newest and tallest -- as of August 2016 -- architectural statement in Shanghai, the Shanghai Tower is the tallest building in China and the second tallest building in the entire world (only the Burj Khalifa in Dubai is taller). The Shanghai Tower is famous for having the highest observation deck ever conceived by humans, which offers the highest views of Shanghai in a 360-degree pan-optic doughnut-shaped room that looks out onto the entire city and beyond, as well as an exhibition hall that is continuously hosting events, shows and exhibitions.
