The building from which Shanghai's second largest district draws its name. Originally built in 247 BC, relocated and rebuilt in the 1880s and recently thoroughly reconstructed, this Buddhist temple is one of the major tourist draws in Shanghai. For 50rmb visitors can view the three main halls and their assorted historical relics, including an enormous Jade Buddha. If you are only interested in a photo, the temple sports a particularly majestic appearance in the evening.
