Roma is an casual dining Italian joint founded by Giampaolo, which most people might know from Porcelino. His executive chef, Andrea has his own credentials creating gorgeous food at the Italian restaurant in the J Hotel (101 Centuono). They've got a heavy focus of creating everything from scratch in house, from pastas (fresh, never dry), sauces, etc. They'll also have a small retail section a la Alimentari, except everything purveyed won't be imported items, but instead fresh pastas, jarred sauces, porcetta made in-house, freshly baked foccacia. Everything you need to dazzle someone (or yourself) at home. Soft yellow lighting, and warm wooden interiors make this a refined and cozy space. Real nice addition to Jing'an which has been known as a desert for Italian food.
