From one of the world’s top rated luxury automobile brands and under the steerage of the Muse Group, comes Genesis Studio Shanghai, a “luxury lifestyle oasis” that deals in Korean fine dining and haute fashion and cultural events. The car showroom is on the first floor and on the second is Genesis Restaurant, a lux but casual encounter with Korean cuisine passed down from the ages —one of two tasting menus features 800-years-old “Korean Royal Cuisine” from the Michelin-anointed Onjium culinary institute in Korean— and for the future. The other tasting menu is from Genesis Head Chef Tom Ryu, of one of Shanghai’s most sought after Korean tables, Jeju Izakaya. A la carte is of course available, and you can expect a collection of dishes that both nods in humble reverence to centuries old Korean culinary tradition and breaks new ground in modern interpretation. Top notch cocktails as well. Keep an eye out for their fashion, arts, and cultural nights.
