Located on the basement floor at IFC Mall, Konjiki Hototogisu is the Shanghai branch of a Tokyo-based Michelin ramen restaurant, founded by chef Atsushi Yamamoto in 2006. Unlike most noodle bars in town, this one has a more intimate atmosphere, featuring a dim and elegant interior with Japanese embellishments. The place isn't big (which means there is always a queue during lunch hours), but the seats are comfy and there is enough space between tables. Ramen is a bit pricy, which is approximately 100rmb for a small bowl. Recommendations go to their shio hamaguri ramen, which is mixed with several seafood soup bases. They've also got some other Japanese classics, like tofu, beef rice and such.
