Sitting right on the Xuhui Riverside, West Bund Theatre is part of the big art and culture cluster alongside Tank Shanghai, West Bund Dome, and the West Bund Museum. Designed by Danish architecture firm SHL, its wavy, water-like exterior nods to the nearby Huangpu River. Inside, you’ll find a massive 1,673-seat grand theater plus a smaller 208-seat studio, both kitted out for top-tier sound and visuals. Opened in 2025, it’s already hosted international jazz names like Hiromi and Broadway-caliber musical stars, with plenty more big productions lined up.
