Located in an industrial warehouse complex in Minhang, Bianselong Prop Museum is less a museum and more a massive behind-the-scenes storage space for film and TV productions. Reached via a freight elevator among loading docks and trucks, the second-floor space opens into rows of vintage furniture, lamps, electronics, and set pieces — thousands of items that feel like fragments of half-built movie scenes. There’s a small, more organized “museum” section, but the real draw is the sprawling warehouse next door, where stacked couches, mismatched chairs, and random props create a chaotic, cinematic atmosphere. Visitors are generally free to wander, and while it’s not curated or polished, that’s part of the appeal — it feels like stumbling into a working film set rather than a traditional exhibition space.
