The first flagship store of VBot, located inside Raffles City Changning in Shanghai, showcases one of China’s emerging “robot pet” experiences. The store features “Da Tou,” an AI-powered robot dog that can walk, respond to voice commands, and interact in both Chinese and English, designed as both a companion device for children and the elderly and a playful tech lifestyle product. Beyond the retail space, visitors are also able to interact with the robot dog on the open lawn outside the mall, where it performs tricks and responds to instructions, making it a popular weekend activity for families and a hands-on introduction to consumer robotics. The space functions not only as a retail store but also as an experiential showcase for robotics technology, and has become a spot for visitors looking for lighthearted, futuristic, and social-media-friendly moments.
