Cozy, comfortable, and warm modern cocktail bar focused on rice-based cocktails. The concept is the product of two bosses, one Chinese and one Korean-Canadian, who found that rice is the one thing they have in common. Ingredients include orange rice wine, soju, sake, osmanthus rice wine, sticky rice, toasted rice, milk, and more. The cocktails are interesting and well-balanced, and in addition to their signatures, they can do "rice" versions of classics, like a Sakitini, rice soju old fashioned, and rice daquari. They serve really good guoba as a bar snack too (which pairs excellently with the "Rice" cocktail - together it's almost like eating cereal). The vibe: Chill hip hop and r&b on the stereo, nice glassware, exposed walls, candle lighting. Busy on the weekends, easier to get a seat on weeknights but closes around 1am. Nice bartenders, good chat. One of the more interesting places to open in Shanghai in late 2025. Good place for a date.
