GOODMAN is back, but in a different form. The former smash burger spot has reopened as BAR GOODMAN, a relaxed second-floor neighborhood bar tucked away on Yanping Lu. The burgers are still here—including the original Classic Smash Burger and a new Deluxe Double Cheeseburger—but the menu now also includes oysters, steak tartare, fried chicken, steak-frites and other sharing plates. Drinks lean classic, with freezer-chilled martinis, highballs, Negronis and other cocktails served alongside wine and beer. Low lighting, good music and a laid-back atmosphere make it an easy choice for dates, after-work drinks or late-night catch-ups, with the kitchen serving until 11pm and the bar open daily until 1am.
