Located at the west end of metro Line 10, Hongqiao Railway Station is Shanghai's biggest, brightest, and most modern train station. If you're taking the high-speed to Beijing, you're probably departing from here. Plan on at least 40 minutes from downtown by metro or cab. If it's rush hour, go by metro. You can buy tickets here, but expect long lines, and definitely bring your passport, which you'll need even if you're picking up tickets that you bought online. Food options here peak at McDonald's and Zhou Hei Ya, so you're better off bringing your own food.
