The Chinese name for this holiday is Yuanxiao Jie and it (symbolically) marks the end of winter. A display of hand-crafted red lanterns swing from the grounds an YuYuan gardens and revelers flock to enjoy the sweet dumplings. Doors are closed early because overcrowding can occur. This event is not for the claustrophobic.
