A hip-hop DJ based in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, DJ KOCO, also known as the 45 Wizard, has been pushing boundaries since he began exclusively playing 7-inch records (45s) in 2011. With finely tuned skills and a deep knowledge of vinyl, he has refined the art of mixing 45s. DJ KOCO first appeared on DJ Scratch’s “ScratchVision” in 2016 and participated in the “Park Jam Series” in the Bronx, New York, alongside legends like Jazzy Jay, gaining international recognition. He has since performed in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

In January 2019, he was the only Japanese DJ at the “Technics 7th” event in Las Vegas, celebrating the release of the Technics “SL-1200MK7” with top DJs such as Cut Chemist, Kenny Dope, and Derrick May. That summer, he toured the U.S. with DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Scratch on the “Vinyl Destination” tour, visiting over ten cities. DJ KOCO's 45-play continues to evolve, gaining attention from hip-hop and music fans worldwide. In addition to event appearances, he has released numerous funk, soul, and disco mixes, expanding his influence in various music genres.
