Yama (やま) is a singer who gained significant attention online, particularly through social media platforms. She began her music career in 2018 by uploading cover songs to YouTube. In April 2020, her first original track, Haru wo Tsugeru (春を告げる), became a breakthrough hit, with its music video amassing over 150 million views on YouTube and her total works surpassing 500 million streams. Since then, she has contributed theme songs to several high-profile projects, including Shikisai, the ending theme for the anime Spy x Family, and Slash, the opening theme for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. In November 2021, Yama released her debut album, The Meaning of Life, which achieved an impressive 7th place on the Oricon charts.
