Founded over twenty years ago, Eluveitie is a Swiss folk metal band from Zürich that merges modern metal with Celtic musical traditions - essentially incorporating folk instrumentation - hurdy-gurdy, flute, and friggin bagpipes - into traditional death metal - with the added pagan touch of having lyrics in the Gaulish language (a dead language in the Celtic family that pre-dated Latin throughout Western Europe).
