On July 26, a 12-hour music event returns to The Shanghai EDITION, starting with a rooftop sunset session and continuing late into the night at the club. The lineup features Hong Kong-based DJ Helen Ting, known for her work in shaping the Afro House sound across Asia. Originally from a non-musical background, she began her DJ career in 2006 and gradually developed a distinct style rooted in Afro House, characterized by a blend of African rhythms and soulful grooves. Over the years, she has performed at venues across the U.S., Europe, and Africa, appearing at festivals like WMC in Miami and Suncebeat in Croatia, and sharing the stage with artists such as Black Coffee, Shimza, and Louie Vega. Her sets often draw influence from African percussion, jazz-infused vocals, and electronic textures, creating a sound that bridges cultures and genres.
