A punk rock buffet over at Pudong’s Cream Club - the latest venue to grace our hearts is racking up more and more showcases. Located along the Huangpu River, not too far from the TangQiao ferry, tonight they have a feast of a showcase in celebration of Nico, aka San, a punk rock aficionado who has made Shanghai and Suzhou her stomping ground for years. And what a spread with ten acts that includes Suzhou Oi! punk act Never Regret, Nanjing/Hangzhou garage rock wranglers Car Car Cars, Hangzhou-based ska-shaking, punk rockers Hard Chicken, and freshly baked street punk act Stirrers, Hangzhou hardcore thrash punks Ripper, breakdown hardcore outfit Butter Soda, and impromptu experimental collective 7902. Plus, DJ spinning courtesy of DJ BO, DJ Toshio, and DJ Min. Yeah, it’s gonna get messy. Birthday salute!
