LakiPak is a Shanghai-based collective led by Georgian guitarist Nick Aliev, bringing together musicians from seven different countries with backgrounds spanning jazz, rock, funk, and electronic music. Their sound draws on Georgian melodies, African rhythms, Latin grooves, European electronic textures, and West Coast bass lines, creating a mix that feels experimental yet grounded in tradition. The group released its first EP Here earlier this year, which has already gained more than 130k streams on Spotify, and has toured Southeast China in support of the record. They return to Blue Note Shanghai on August 28 for their first local performance since 2024.
