This winter the First Theatre of Russia brings a hands-on snow playground to town: an intimate, interactive show where kids throw snowballs, meet cuddly characters, and lie in (pretend) snow to look at the stars. It’s perfect for toddlers and families who want theatre that’s tactile, playful and full of surprises. Suitable for children 2-6 years old.
Interactive stage experience from Russia

This production is introduced from Russia and is created by the First Theatre of Russia (Первый театр), a company dedicated to small-scale theatre for very young audiences. The show uses interactive performance and vivid props to transport children into a snowy outdoor world where they play with adorable characters and take part in winter adventures.
Audience participation

Audiences are not passive observers but active participants. Children are invited to throw snowballs, feed squirrels, lie in the snow and look at the stars—activities staged to make them feel truly present in the story. Participation deepens immersion and also supports social skills and teamwork: sharing play and laughter with peers helps create lasting childhood memories.
Rich visual language

The production offers a strong visual experience. Colorful, tactile props and stage elements stimulate imagination and help develop aesthetic awareness. The show blends many performance forms—shadow play, a playful snowball chase, tabletop sand trays for child creativity, and small cloth puppets acting out winter scenes—so every moment contains surprises.
Props and atmosphere

A variety of bright, textural props—felt boots, colored paper confetti, and nuts—create a dreamy winter scene and fully immerse the audience in the play’s world. Performers transform these simple objects into playful, sensory moments.
Simple, child-friendly story and language

The story uses straightforward English expressions suitable for children aged 2–6, so young audiences can easily follow the plot. The clear language and simple structure let kids enjoy the narrative while naturally supporting early language development.
Family interaction

The performance also invites family participation and encourages parent-child interaction, offering an opportunity for shared moments and quality time. This winter the show aims to help families create happy, memorable experiences together.
