Description

A Russian interactive theatre experience where children step directly into the story through water play, physical exploration, and participatory storytelling. The show transforms the theatre space into a playful “rainy sea world” where kids become part of the action rather than just watching.

About the Show

This is an immersive, interactive theatre production designed for children, created by a Russian theatre troupe. The performance breaks traditional stage boundaries, allowing children to move freely within the performance space and directly engage with the story.

The story centers on a hermit crab living in an old rubber boot. Children become part of the journey as “little navigators,” participating in activities such as building boats, creating oceans, stepping into water scenes, and joining imaginative underwater adventures.

A defining feature of the show is its physical environment: water is actively used within the theatre space. Children may experience real water effects, including simulated rain and splash-based play, creating a fully sensory, hands-on theatrical experience.

Experience

The experience includes:

  • Boat building activities
  • Ocean and water play scenes
  • Interactive storytelling with actors
  • “Deep-sea monster battle” participation
  • Treasure search at the end of the story

Why Go

This production is designed for children who benefit from highly interactive, physical storytelling experiences rather than passive viewing. Instead of sitting in seats, children actively participate—walking, splashing, building, and exploring within the narrative itself.

The show’s appeal lies in its immersive approach: children experience a playful environment where imagination and physical interaction merge, from stepping into water scenes to collaboratively searching for treasure at the end of the story. It is structured as a hands-on theatrical adventure where participation is the core experience.
