Just an insane double booking at Reactor on Friday, and easily one of the biggest techno nights in several years. DJ Stingray 313 is a Detroit electro pioneer known for high-speed sets that fuse electro, techno, and futuristic funk. A former collaborator of Drexciya’s James Stinson, his masked performances are legendary and this is his first Shanghai appearance in 10 years. He’s one of the best in the game. Upstairs gets deeper and more abstract but equally brilliant, with UK producer Actress, one of the most influential producers of the last few decades. Highly recommended.
