Cedar Kitchen - home of experimental music, kids-doing-cool-DIY-shit, and excellent chicken shawarma, - has a workshop this weekend about how to produce sound from everyday objects. It's the place in a car service garage on Julu Lu. Here's what's on this weekend: "Starting from the mechanical motion of small motors—drawing an analogy between physical sounds and the mechanical structures of the human body—and culminating in an improvised sonic experiment grounded in performance art, Heretical Object x DuctTape Collective aims to explore the relationship between humans and their surroundings through the mediums of mimicry, cyclical movement, and contemporary improvisation." This starts at 8:30pm on Saturday and Sunday and several international artists are hosting the workshop and performing.
