Artificial intelligence is changing how organisations make decisions, replacing instinct with data-driven insights. In this open masterclass hosted by The University of Manchester China Centre, Associate Professor Gianluigi Giustiziero will explore how AI is reshaping strategy, leadership, and decision-making through real-world business examples. The session also offers a chance to experience a Manchester Global MBA classroom and learn more about the programme.
Artificial intelligence and big data are transforming the way organisations operate and make decisions. As business environments become increasingly complex, traditional decision-making based on intuition alone is no longer enough. In this open masterclass, Dr Gianluigi Giustiziero, Associate Professor of Strategy at Alliance Manchester Business School, will discuss how AI and data analytics are helping organisations make more evidence-based, objective, and effective strategic decisions. Drawing on both academic research and industry experience, he will examine practical applications of AI across different organisational settings, as well as its limitations, risks, and responsible use in leadership and management.
Professor Giustiziero is an internationally recognised strategy scholar whose research focuses on operations management, competitive dynamics, organisational knowledge transformation, leadership development, innovation management, and public policy. Before entering academia, he held senior leadership positions at several international start-ups. He earned his PhD in Strategy from the University of Michigan and previously taught at IE Business School. Known for combining rigorous academic frameworks with practical business cases, his teaching is a core part of the Manchester Global MBA experience.
The evening includes registration and networking, a one-hour masterclass followed by a Q&A, an introduction to the Manchester Global Part-time MBA, and additional networking opportunities with professionals from across the Yangtze River Delta.
