As the Chinese New Year approaches, the University of Manchester China Centre hosts a New Year Mixer for international education professionals. The event features students and alumni of the MA Educational Leadership in Practice (MA ELiP) programme—Nancy Jia, Assistant Principal and Head of High School at Shanghai SUIS Wanyuan Campus, and Vincent Xu, Vice Principal of Shanghai Arete Bilingual School—who will share how they have applied programme insights to school management and professional growth. Taking place on Sunday, 1 February 2026, from 15:30–17:00, with on-site registration and a pre-event mixer from 15:00, the session will include bilingual discussion in Chinese and English, an interactive Q&A, and opportunities to network with alumni and peers. Topics include translating educational leadership theory into practice, navigating the transition from teacher to leader, and integrating international and local approaches in schools, all within a relaxed New Year atmosphere with refreshments.
