Expect a brooding, industrial atmosphere driven by live musicians and iconic tracks.

Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby is a dance-theatre adaptation of the BBC series Peaky Blinders, written and adapted for the stage by the show’s original creator, Steven Knight. Set in post–World War I Birmingham, the production centers on razor-gang leader Thomas Shelby as he builds a business empire while navigating a volatile romance with undercover agent Grace Burgess. Through physical storytelling, the work delves into Shelby’s wartime trauma and his struggle between destruction and redemption, incorporating exclusive plotlines and character elements not seen in the television series.

The production is directed and choreographed by Benoit Swan Pouffer, artistic director of Rambert Dance Company, with the full company performing on stage. Live musicians perform a score by Roman GianArthur alongside iconic tracks by Nick Cave and others. Industrial, dark-toned stage design, realistic gunshot sound effects, and strobe lighting combine to create a highly immersive theatrical experience. Following its UK premiere—where tickets reportedly sold out within minutes—the production received widespread five-star reviews from major British media and is set to launch its first Asia tour in March 2026, including a stop in Shanghai.
