A chunk of ancient Rome has landed in Shanghai, with more than 130 artifacts from the National Museums Liverpool on display for the first time in the city. Highlights include a 2.27-meter-tall Zeus statue and a series of busts of emperors and nobles, giving a close-up look at classical Western art and empire-building. Beyond the objects themselves, the exhibition recreates the Pantheon’s grandeur and offers themed interactive areas, from a “Four Seasons Oracle” light and sound installation to challenges inspired by Hercules’ twelve labors. It’s designed for all sorts of visits, whether you’re coming solo, with family, or on a date, blending historical depth with immersive experiences.
