The Shanghai Huangpu Half Marathon 2026 returns with 8,000 runners set to take on a refreshed course through some of the city’s most recognizable streets. Starting from The Bund Bull Square and finishing at the Expo Huangpu Sports Park, the route links landmarks including the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, Huaihai Middle Road, Xintiandi, and the Huangpu riverside. This year’s race saw over 44,000 applicants — a record high — with runners from 50 countries joining the lineup. Beyond the race itself, the event also brings a marathon-themed shopping weekend, city walking routes, and limited-edition merchandise, turning the run into a broader city experience.
