YYT is bringing four heavy acts together for a midwinter night of loud, physical music. Chaos Mind, Doppler Drive, K.A.P, and Chimera Cult turn the venue into a pressure chamber where volume and rhythm do the talking.
As winter tightens its grip, The Winter Crucible sets out to answer it with distortion, speed, and raw energy. This heavy music night at Yuyintang Park (Hall B) brings together four Shanghai-connected bands for a single evening of high-intensity sound, built around the shared experience of the pit and the physical force of live performance. No themes, no speeches—just music turned up until the cold fades out.
Chaos Mind

Formed in Shanghai in 2006, Chaos Mind has spent over a decade performing at music festivals and sharing stages with domestic and international bands. They represented Chinese heavy music at Summer Sonic in 2013, with their track “Parallel World” reaching No.3 on the China Rock Chart the same year. Though its members now live in different cities, the band remains rooted in Shanghai.
Doppler Drive

Based in Shanghai, Doppler Drive is a post-grunge rock band with members from China, Canada, and the United States. Their music blends Eastern and Western influences, combining post-grunge, metal, and rock, and they are known for high-intensity live shows.
Chimera Cult

Founded in Shanghai in 2020, Chimera Cult delivers an eclectic mix of metal subgenres with elements of primitive punk. Known for chaotic, high-energy performances, the band has toured across North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia in recent years and has released their second album.
K.A.P (KILLALLPOSERS)

KILLALLPOSERS is a Shanghai-based crossover thrash band formed in 2020. While grounded in heavy music, their influences range widely, including K-pop, smooth jazz, Vocaloid, emo rap, Douyin trends, and post-punk, resulting in a fast, genre-defying sound.
For fans of heavy music, The Winter Crucible brings together four bands with different backgrounds but a shared focus on live impact. It’s a chance to experience a full night of loud, uncompromising performances in one of Shanghai’s dedicated live music spaces.
